Here at RockPaperSpirit, we can’t get enough of quirky, niche brands. So when I opened up last month’s Pink Parcel and found a bottle of Woo Woo scented body wash inside, there were squeals of delight.
Step forward Boozi Bodycare. They were founded in 2014 by Suzi McCarthy and the concept behind their cocktail-inspired range was to bring fun, summer party inspired scents into the bathroom while at the same time providing high-quality, nourishing, luxurious ingredients.
If you’re a proper grown up with a family, mortgage and responsibilities like me, there’s a good chance that the only time you drink cocktails is on holiday so when I opened up the 50ml bottle of Cheeky Woo Woo body wash, I was transported back to the time I gatecrashed the Captain’s cocktail party on a cruise in my early twenties. Good times! Scent evokes powerful memories and that’s what’s so clever about using cocktail fragrances for a body care range. It brings on the travel-courage and makes you feel as if you’ve just washed off the sun cream.
The brand has already won numerous awards including a Pure Beauty Care Award and a Small Business Sunday Award. Their products are suitable for vegans, cruelty free and are 100% paraben free.
So, what scents can you sample? Well, other than the aforementioned Cheeky Woo Woo, there’s French Martini, Peach and Passion Fruit Bellini, Kir Royale, Piña Colada, Strawberry Daiquiri, Sparkling Gin and Tonic, Virgin Mojito, Mango and Ginger Margarita.
There’s a whole range of products including body wash, body cream, bubble bath jellies, hand cream and lip care. There are also gift sets with clever names like, ‘Happy Hour‘, ‘Mini Bar’ and ‘Cocktail Party.’ The good thing is that the products are really pungent so the scent lasts longer than the time you spend in the shower and scents your whole bathroom. The body wash seems to be very highly concentrated so you don’t need to use much and it lasts for much longer than expected.
Here at Rock Paper Spirit, we don’t write about products we don’t believe in, especially when we haven’t been sponsored to write about them, and I (Lacey) firmly believe this brand is a star of the future. It’s already on my birthday wish list (with a big star beside it).
