    Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser Review

Another beauty review today, and that’s because I’ve got yet another empty bottle in my bathroom! The second empty is Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser. This is different from the last blog I wrote in that this is for a premium product. Some would call it mid-range, (I used to!) but those people have got too much money to burn. I’m on Carer’s Allowance and I think this is bloody expensive. Annoyingly, I couldn’t find it on Amazon for less than $60, but I can assure you, when I bought it, it was around £20 in my local department store, which is still pricey. If you’re not put off by that…

Oilatum Daily Junior Bath Foam Review

Today I’m going to write a blog that is one of those rare cross-over blogs that covers parenting AND beauty… I’m not sure how to explain that but it is a cosmetic product that is also medicinal, that I use as part of my parenting. You’ll see what I mean when you read on. In keeping with the theme of writing about anything I use in the bathroom once the tub is empty (because that means that it’s been good enough to use until the end), I’m going to review Oilatum Daily Junior Bath Foam. Disclaimer: I was gifted a bottle of this last year for free in exchange for…

Clinique Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator

Over the weekend, I was talking to someone on Twitter about how long I had been blogging. I go way back to 2005 when I blogged on MSN Spaces about travel. I moved that travel blog to MySpace in 2007 and a couple of years later, it became a lifestyle blog on Blogspot. After being a book blogger for a couple of years, I then moved into beauty in 2013 and that was a culture shock. More on that in another post but there was this thing that beauty bloggers did back then where they would post pictures of their empty bottles and tubes of products they were using or…

Dr.’s Remedy Nail Polish and Remover – With Garlic?! – Review

Today I want to share a story about my experiences with Dr.’s Remedy nail care products. Believe it or not, this blog started as an ethical beauty website, so perhaps this is me going back to basics? I would consider myself to be a girlie-girl, even if I’m not someone who is always caked in make-up. In fact, the only make-up I wear on a daily basis is eyebrow powder, on account of me not really having any eye-brows. I’ll wear lipstick 90% of the time but everything else? I can take it or leave it. If I wore make-up every day, how would I look any different when I’m…

A to Z Blogging Challenge: E is for Electrolysis

It’s day 5 of the A to Z Blogging Challenge and after yesterday’s ode to Christmas, I’m now writing about a beauty treatment. Or is this a tech post? I honestly can’t tell. But if you’re interested in beauty tech, this could be the post for you. E is for electrolysis. The Background For those who don’t know, I struggled to eat solid food as a teenager. There was an extended period of time when I was on a liquid diet. I had countless people assume I was anorexic and who could blame them? All they saw was a teenage girl who wasn’t eating. They didn’t know the reasons why,…
