Get Ready For Father’s Day With Moonpig

I’ve inherited a lot of things from my Dad. My nose, for one. My black hair. Unfortunately I also inherited the early-greys from him. Thanks Dad.  There’s also my IQ score, my tenacity and my sweet tooth. So, I wanted to write a Father’s Day post in advance of the big day, which is 16th June this year. I’ve been really lucky that I’ve been given a few ideas. My Dad has his eye on a DVD box set of an old 1960s TV show that I had honestly never heard of so it’s going to be easy this year but if he hadn’t put that idea in my head,…

Action Man: The Perfect Fathers Day Gift!

Action Man is an iconic figure of childhood and the very first hero we knew for many of us. I never had one (I wanted stationery and a typewriter rather than dolls) but my husband recalls asking for an Action Man for Christmas when he was a little boy. He was devastated when he got a rival branded doll instead and it’s one of those stories that he brings up every now and again. He wanted an Action Man and never got one. I was a big fan of incense as a teenager and in later years I’ve discovered that I really love scented candles. Yes,…

Wallace and Gromit Musical Marvels Tour 2019 Preview

AD/GIFTED – This post is an advertisement for Carrot Productions and the Wallace and Gromit Musical Marvels Tour 2019. I have been promised tickets to one of the shows in exchange for writing about the tour and promoting it on my blog and social channels. All opinions are my own and anecdotes in this post are based on my real experience. I have not received any monetary compensation for this campaign. Wallace and Gromit have been a favourite of mine since I was a teenager. I remember when I was around 14 or 15 years old, I had the Wallace and Gromit game for Windows 95 based on The Wrong…
